Anthony Ramos Martinez was born on November 1, 1991, in Brooklyn, New York as a son of mother Mildred Ramos and father, Mario Martinez. He also had a younger sister and an older brother as a sibling. He spent his childhood in Bushwick, Brooklyn, and grew up with his mother, sister, and brother. 

Later, when he turned out to be an adult, he was in a long-term relationship with Jasmine Cephas Jones, who is well known as an American actress and a singer. She was the original cast member of Hamilton, where they were met when they were doing their rehearsals for the Off-Broadway production at The Public Theater.

Later, Ramos joined in a Halsey Junior High School, where he had a group called Halsey Trio, and they used to sing a song in their assemblies. After that, he joined New Utrecht High School, where he was graduated in 2009. At that time, he was interested in making his career in Baseball, and he decided to be a baseball player. He was planning to play in NCAA Division III, which is known as a division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, where his coach coached him.

Later, Anthony Ramos appeared in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where he had a full scholarship and had permission to performing arts. Later, in 2011, he was graduated from the musical theatre program.

Anthony Ramos started his career when he got the role of several regional and touring musical productions, including Sonny de le Vegas production of “In the Height” in 2012. Later, he was seen performing in “Hear and Light,” which was in Radio City Music Hall, and he was also involved in a dance show, but it was canceled that time where he would be with The Rockette, which is best known as an American precision dance company. When he was busy with rehearsals for “Heart and Lights,” he had also given the audition for the off-Broadway production of Hamilton at The Public Theater, a New York City arts organization.

Later, when Anthony Ramos was cast into the Hamilton, he was seen playing in “21 Chump Street” as a Justin Laboy, which is made by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is known as an American composer, lyricist, actor, singer, rapper, producer as well as a playwright. On June 7, 2014, he had a past performance recorded for NPR’s This American Life, a weekly hour-long radio program. 

In early 2015, Hamilton had opened off-Broadway, where Ramos played dual roles: John Laurens and Philip Hamilton, who was the eldest son of Alexander Hamilton. Anthony Ramos started his recording career in 2015 after he was seen in the recording of Hamilton, where he had played the dual roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton. In October 2017, he reunited with Lin-Manuel Miranda, where he became the vocalist on Miranda’s song, where the song title is ”Almost Like Praying,” which was released to benefits Hurricane Maria  Victims.

After that, Anthony Ramos released his two tracks, which was “Freedom,” and another one is “Common Ground” on November 8, 2017, which was from his solo EP (extended play) titled The Freedom EP. Later, the release was produced by Will Wells, who already had worked with Logic and Pentatonix. They had released the “The Freedom Ep” after the 2016 election inspired them, and they released it on the first anniversary of President Donald Trump’s inauguration, which is on January 20, 2018. Furthermore, he had also added new songs in EP “When The Bell Tolls” and “PRayer” into his exiting single “Freedom,” “Common Ground,” and “alright.”
