Edward John “Ed” Speleers is an English actor and director born on April 7, 1988. The 30-year-old British actor rose to fame after playing Eragon in the film of the same name.
Speleers had previously starred in school plays such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream alongside Carrie Coon when he was ten years old, following Peter Pan, A Streetcar Called Desire, Richard III, and Hamlet. In addition, Speleers wrote the play Retribution with his friend Rob Curran while at Eastbourne College, which looked into child violence and pedophilia.
