Club career

Bayern Munich:

Bastian Schweinsteiger’s club career started in the year 1998 when he signed the contract with Bayern Munich. He was the club’s youth team and quickly rose to fame after achieving the youth championship in 2002. He made his league debut in the UEFA Champions League as a late substitute when he was 18 years old. He scored his first goal against RC Lens, which gained him a professional contract from the club. He scored his first professional goal in the 2002-03 seasons game against VFL Wolfsburg. Because of Schweinsteiger’s performance in the 2012-13 season as the midfielder, he was entitled with a 2013 German player of the year honor. He played for the club for 17 years.

Manchester United:

Bastian Schweinsteiger signed the three years contract with Manchester United which was worth 9 million euros. He scored his first league goal for the club in November 2015 against Leicester City. At the end of 2015, he could not play three games to punish the fight against Winston Reid. He played in EFL Cup as a substitute and FA Cup in 2017 and made his winning goal against Wigan Athletic. He earned the “Man of the Match” title from the fans that year.

Chicago Fires:

After the end of 3 years contract with United, he signed the contract with Chicago Fire. He played his first game for the club against Montreal Impact. Bastian Schweinsteiger made his debut in international matches in 2004 playing for Germany.

Euro 2004:

Schweinsteiger was one of Bayern’s players to play in the Euro 2004, where he made his first only goal of the club against the Czech Republic.

Bastian Schweinsteiger was the first player to play in the German national team in 41 matches holding the highest record of matches ever played, which was soon broken by another player.
