Early Life
David Thewlis was born on 20 March 1963. He was born in Blackpool, England. He was born as the middle child to Maureen Thewlis and Alec Raymond Wheeler. His father and mother both worked in a shop. David completed his high school at Highfields High School, located in Blackpool’s Marton area.
He was very passionate about music during his high school time and was a QED rock band member. Thewlis was the lead guitarist of the band. He was also later a member of a punk rock band called Door 66. Due to his passion for music, he wanted to make a career in music and moved to London but changed his mind at the last minute. He attended Guildhall School of Music and Drama, located in London, and graduated in 1984.
