Personal Life and Relationship

Jet Li, whose real name is Li Lianjie, was born on 26 April 1963 in Beijing, China, as the son of his father, Li Qingquan, and his mother, Zhang Fenglan. He was the youngest child of their parents, and he has four siblings; two are brothers, and two were sisters. His brothers are Li Liansheng and Li Lianli and his sisters are Li Lianping and Li Lanzhou.

In 1987, Li got married to Huang Qiuyan, a member of the Beijing Wushu Team, and is also known as an actress. Later, they gave birth to their two daughters, but in 1990, they decided to live separately, and they divorced. After that, he married actress Nina Li Chi in 1999, and they also gave birth to two daughters. His first daughter with Nina Li Chi, was born in 2000 and named Jane, while his second daughter, Jada, was born in 2002.

Early Life and Martial Arts Career

When Jet Li was at the age of two, his father died, so his family had to live in poverty. Later, he was seen practicing Wushu at school summer courses, where his talent was noticed. At that time, he was eight years old. Further, he was seen participating in a non-sparring wushu event and then was seen attending at Beijing Wushu Team. He was guided by the famous couches Li Junfeng and Wu Bin, which helped him develop his talent. Because of poverty, his couch Wu Bin used to provide food for his family.

Jet Li used to compete with adults in the Chinese Wushu Championships, where he became bale to win fifteen gold medals and one silver medal. Later, he was known as the master of various wushu styles, including Changquan and Fanziquan, where he had also studied other arts.

Jet Li started his film career with a Chinese-Hong Kong martial arts movie, “The Shaolin Temple,” released in 1982. Further, he was in several famous Chinese films where he was seen in the series 1,2and 3 of the movie “The Shaolin Temple.”  Also, he was caught in a martial arts movie, “Once Upon a Time in China,” which was directed by Tsui Hark, and after, he was seen appearing in another martial art movie, “Fist of Legend.” Likewise, he played a role in an action-comedy film, “Fong Sai-Yuk,” directed by Corey Tuen, where he produced it.
