Kevin Warsh began his career by working for Morgan Stanley from 1995 to 2002, gaining his post to executive director in the company’s mergers and acquisitions department. He then became Special Assistant for Economic Policy and Executive Secretary of the National Economic Council.
His primary responsibility involves domestic finance, banking, and securities regulatory policy and consumer protection. He counseled the President and senior administration officials on issues related to the US economy, mainly fund flows of the capital markets, securities, banking, and insurance issues.
In addition, he served as the administration’s liaison to the independent financial regulatory agencies as a member of the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets.
