Mackenzie Crook, whose real name is Paul James “Mackenzie” Crook was born on 29 September 1971 in Maidstone, Kent, England as the son of his father, Michael Crook, and mother, Sheila Crook. His father is a British Airways employee where his mother is a hospital manager. He has a sister whose name is Zoe Crook.

Crook married Lindsay in 2001 and they gave birth to their son and daughter whose names are Jude and Scout respectively. Currently, they are residing in Muswell Hill, London.
