Matthew Lillard’s full name is Matthew Lyn Lillard. Mathew Lillard was born to parents Jeffery Lillard and Paula Lillard on January 24, 1970, in Lansing which lies in Michigan. Furthermore, he has a sibling, a younger sister named Amy Lillard.
He graduated high school from Foothill High School which is located in Santa Ana in California. After high school, he attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts which is located in Pasadena. He and actor Paul Rudd attended it together. He was also a part of Circle in the Square in New York City. He belongs to an American nationality.
CAREER
In 1990, Lillard co-hosted a television show called SK8-TV after he graduated from high school.
In 1991, he was an extra in the American horror series called “Ghoulies 3: Ghoulies Go To College“. In 1994, he played the role of Chip Sutphin in the film “Serial Mom”, directed by John Waters. Furthermore, in 1995, he starred in five films namely “Animal Room”, “Ride for Your Life”, “Mad Love”, “Hackers” and “Tarantella”. In 2002, he played the role of Norville Rogers also known as Shaggy in the live-action “Scooby-Doo” film.
He reprised the role of Shaggy in the sequel of the film released in 2004 titled “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed”. He voiced Shaggy after the original voice actor Casey Kasem retired due to deteriorating health. Lillard later starred in the medical drama series “House” in 2011, based on K.L. Going’s book. In 2011, he also starred in the comedy “The Descendants”. In 2018, Matthew Lillard played the role of Shaggy in the crossover episode in “Supernaturals”.
