Early Life
Sam Heughan’s full name is Sam Roland Heughan. He was born in Balmaclellan, a small village in Scotland’s Kirkcudbrightshire County. His parents were hippies, and we’re involved in a hippie community called Gandalf’s Garden. He has an older brother named Cridan. His father left them when they were small children.
His mother had a difficult time raising them. His mother’s name is Chrissie Heughan. She is an artist. As a child, he studied at Kells Primary School. He moved to Edinburg and studied at James Gillespie’s High School when he was 12. A year later, he studied at Rudolf Steiner School. He joined the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland after working for two years. He graduated from Academy in 2003.
Career
Sam Heughan made his film debut in 2001 with the short film *Small Moments”. After nine years, in 2010, he acted in his second film. The film was titled “Young Alexander the Great,” and he played the role of Alexander in it. In 2014, he played the role of Lyngstrand in the film titled “Heart of Lightness.” The same year, he played the role of Ronny Maze in “Emulsion.” In 2016, he was seen in the role of Jacob in the film “When the Starlight Ends.” In 2018, he played the role of Sebastian Henshaw in the black comedy spy thriller film titled “The Spy Who Dumped Me.”
