Thierry Henry was born on 17th August of 1977 in Les Ulis of France. Thus, he belongs to French nationality. His ancestry is Antillean and is the son of Antoine and Maryse. Club career

Monaco & Juventus:

After playing in numerous matches, his performance attracted the attention of professional club Monaco during the 1990s. Later on, he made his professional debut by signing with Monaco in the youth club. He played his first professional game for Monaco against Nice, which was lost by 2-0 points. He played as the left-winger, and his performance achieved him the title French Young Footballer of the Year. He led the team to win continuously in the following seasons and set the record for the highest number of French history goals.

In 1999, he left Monaco and signed the 10.5 million pounds contract with Juventus. But sadly, he made only three goals in 16 of the games he appeared in.

Since Thierry Henry didn’t find much success in Juventus, he transferred to Arsenal, where he made his football career breakthrough and earned the world-class footballer title. He started playing as the striker in the club, which he found difficult to adjust initially but eventually made an impressive performance.

During the 2000-01 season, Henry made his breakthrough second goal against the opponent team Manchester United. The team reached the final of the FA Cup but was eventually lost to Liverpool with 2-1 scores.

The 2001-02 season was the season of success for both the club and Henry. Henry led the team to win FA Cup Final against Chelsea by 2-0 scores and gained the Premier League title.

In 2002-03 season, Henry again led the Arsenal to win their second FA Cup. That season, he earned the FWA Footballer of the Year award and PFA Players’ Player of the Year award. That season, he also set the record for making 20 goals and 20 assists in a season.

In 2003-04 season, Thierry Henry reclaimed the Premier League title and received his second FWA Footballer of the Year and PFA Players’ Player of the year award. Henry also won the European Golden Boot after scoring 39 goals in each of the competitions. Following seasons, Henry missed most of the games due to injury.

In the 2005-06 season, he made his comeback with winning the title of top goalscorer of all time and being qualified for FIFA World XI. Following the season, he again suffered to play due to his injury.


In 2007, Thierry Henry signed the 24 million Euro worth of contract with Barcelona, where he made his first hat-trick against the team Levante. He led the team to win Primera Division and UEFA Champions League. The club won the treble during the 2008-09 season along with UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

New York Red Bulls & Retirement:

In 2010, he signed the contract with New York Red Bulls, but the new club seasons were not much productive for Henry, so he returned to play for Arsenal in the loan. After retiring for the professional football career, Thierry Henry started as a football coach for the Arsenal youth club. After coaching the youth team for a year, he went on to Belgium national team as an assistant coach. His coaching strategy was highly praised by the player Romelu Lukaku.

In 2018, he went on to join the Monaco club as the manager for which he received mixed reactions from the people. But due to Henry’s unsuccessful managing of the club, he was dismissed from the club. At the end of 2019, he signed the two years contract with Montreal Impact as a manager. Currently, he is managing the club with diligence and dedication.

After dating Hewlett for a year, he dated Andrea Rajacic and tied the knot with her in 2008. Andrea Rajacic gave birth to their first son named Tristan Henry in 2012 and later a daughter named Tatiana Henry in 2015.
